Who knew a night out with friends in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District would lead to a wedding?

One night, James approached Claire at the bar, and they immediately clicked, sharing quick-witted conversations about their accents—his British and hers Staten Island. From that moment, their story began, filled with unforgettable memories.

In January 2019, they started dating, living just six blocks apart and always finding joy in spending time together. Over the years, they’ve shared countless adventures—traveling the world, attending friends’ weddings, celebrating holidays, hosting garden parties, vacationing in Long Beach Island (LBI), and competing to be the favorite Auntie and Uncle to many. They both cherish time spent with family, friends, children, and any dog owner willing to share their furry friend.

On July 4th, 2024—ironically for a Brit—James surprised Claire with a proposal on the beach in Long Beach Island, with Claire’s family there to celebrate. LBI has always been a special place for Claire’s family, and it became even more so after that day.

Claire and James are thrilled to share their special day in the city that brought them together and holds so many happy memories.

They will celebrate their intimate wedding on Saturday, May 24, 2024, at the Harold Pratt House in Manhattan.
